STUDDED LAPELS

{Vest and Heels: Forever21, Shirt and Skirt: Nordstrom, Scarf: Forever21, Rings: Vintage}

This vest was gifted to me, but it is something I would pick for myself in a heartbeat. I get overly excited when I see a fairly basic piece with an edgy detail. Purple is one of my favorite colors and this vivid top will always be one of my favorites. These heels came in the mail today, and I was determined to include them into my ensemble. I couldn't be happier with them, they aren't like any other shoe in my closet (I normally don't go for peep toed styles). Chunky heels are all over the place this season, and for good reason! They make for a less wobbly walk and they're stunning. Are any of you embracing thicker heels this season?

POISED AND POLISHED

{Jacket: Target, Maxi Skirt and Ring: B.P., Shirt: Forever21, Necklace and Watch: Forever21}

This skirt was one of my favorites during the summer, and I've found a way to re-invent it for the fall/winter months! You can conveniently fold over the top for a lower rise, or keep it unfolded for a higher rise. I wore this shirt here and I like it both ways, it's turning out to be a very versatile piece! I love this choker necklace as for mentioned, I think I might have to invest in a higher quality option as well. As of right now, this is the only gold ring I own, but I'm looking to change that soon (it's on my list for Christmas)!

On a side note, I've been obsessed with cyber monday (I can't wait for my purchases to arrive, plus, who doesn't love getting mail anyways?!)... Did any of you get good deals today or this weekend?

YOUNG, WILD & FREE

{Dress and Sweatshirt: Forever21, Heels: Jessica Simpson}

Sometimes it's fun to dress up a rather simple sweatshirt with a more glitzy skirt. In this case it's a dress, this gold sequined mini dress is too short for my taste to wear alone, so I folded over the top and wear it as a skirt! Sequins are a great addition to spice up your wardrobe this season. Screen printing was all over the runways for fall/winter. I've loved this sweatshirt from the moment I saw it, it says "young wild and free" with a rather glamorous looking girl in big sunglasses. There's something liberating about thinking you're young, wild and free... I have to admit, it makes a lot of things seem possible. It's fun to keep the phrase in mind, as I am in school and deciding what I want to do with the rest of my life!

P.S.-I'm not entirely sure what I think of this ensemble... I'm dying to hear your thoughts!

BLAZERS & BOOTS

{Blazer: Frenchi, Boots: Aldo, Denim: Hudson, Shirt: Frenchi, Necklace: Forever21}

Black friday is notorious for great deals and mobs of people, normally I'd be all for it, but this year I wasn't feelin' up to braving the crowds. So, I opted for a more relaxed look for a day running errands and doing homework after work. This blazer is my favorite, can't go wrong with classic black! I particularly like gathered detail on the sleeves. I've worn these boots before here but they work just as well tucked into skinny jeans. These shirts are possibly the comfiest ones I own (I have one in almost every color). My necklace adds an interesting aspect to the ensemble, it reminds me of a dream catcher! Did any of you go out for black friday?

GIVING THANKS

The holidays always come with feelings of nostalgia, remembering the good times I had as a kid at thanksgiving and christmas. Things have changed now, and I've grown up but that just means there are more memories to be made. Usually around this time my family would pack up and go to the Oregon coast for thanksgiving to stay with friends that have a bed and breakfast, but for the last few years we've gone to have thanksgiving with family that live in Mukilteo, not even 30 mins away. Each year we say what we're thankful for and this year, this is my list:

1. Family (blood relatives and friends that I consider family)
2. Opportunities I've been given (the ability to travel overseas, school and work)
3. Great friends
4. A home to live in and food on the table
5. My moms orange rolls
6. This blog and everyone who reads it!

I hope you all had a fantastic thanksgiving full of delicious food and good company :)

TEALIGHTS

I found a few of these crystal tea cups at a thrift store for 99 cents! I wanted to do something with them (and justify my purchase) because they're adorable, obvi. So I collected a few different types of the cups and headed home. I found that Martha Stewart did this with a few teacups that had lost their saucers. How perfect! I went to buy candle wax and found wax crystals and instead of melting them down to become a solid candle, I left them as loose crystals! (It kind of reminds me of sugar in a cup) Anyway, they're super easy to make and so cute as a table center piece!

BACON & EGG TOAST CUPS

These are so yummy! I found the recipe here, it's so easy, anyone can make these tasty little breakfast bites. As you may have read before, breakfast is my favorite meal of the day and bacon, egg toast cups are the perfect addition to my fav breakfast foods. I'm thinking of trying them with tomatoes, or just egg whites with spinach for a healthier option. They'll keep for a day if you refrigerate them. I work early mornings and these are easy to heat up in the morning for a fast, easy and delicious start to my day!

{Cooking bacon in the oven, possibly the easiest way to cook it!}

{Cutting circles of bread to put into cupcake baking pan}

{Bread and cheese ready for bacon and then into the oven!}

CURRENT FAVORITES

{This is a watch I recently purchased on sale! I love it and wear it all the time, now I don't have an excuse for being late!}

{I fell in love with this frame the moment I saw it! I'm not sure where I'll put it but it will be put to use ASAP!}

{New years eve dress?! I think so! I bought this one-shoulder number and immediately wished I was going to NYC for new years... sigh... one day!}

{We have seemed to have skipped fall and headed straight into winter this year. This is our first dusting of snow here in the Seattle area.}

{I bought this tray recently and I love how it holds my bracelets! It's such a fun way to display jewelery!}

{I was so excited when it started snowing here! When you have no where to go but the couch with a hot cup of tea, snow is the ideal winter weather. It made for a beautiful morning! I love how the glass on the clock is frosted over.}

ANIMAL INSTINCT

{Chambray shirt: Rubbish, Scarf and Skirt: Nordstrom, Vest: Forever21, Boots: Journeys}

I love days when I'm motivated to try something new, especially with my wardrobe, but that's not always the case. Take today for example, I put together a look with a few basics, chambray shirt (I'm quickly becoming obsessed with it), black skirt, vest, tights and boots. Throw on a trendy scarf (in my fav, leopard print) and I'm good to go! It's definitely getting cold here (they say snow on Thursday!) and with all of these layers, I'm sure to stay warm.

RAIN, RAIN, WON'T GO AWAY

{Jacket and Sweater: Forever21, Rain Boots: Target, Necklace and Scarf: Forever21}

When you live in Seattle you should definitely own at least one pair of rain boots. It rains all the time here! While running errands today I came across a gigantic puddle in a parking lot and I splashed around in it just because I could with my boots! I decided to make the best of the rain with a cute rainy day outfit. This sweater is super soft and great for cool days. The scarf keeps me warm when the wind blows and is a great way to accessorize. I love this tassel necklace, They're huge right now!

FANTASTIC FRINGE

{Booties: Seen here, Pants: Jolt, Shirt and bag: Forever21, Watch: Fossil}

With the clocks turning back an hour it gets dark around 5:30 here in the Seattle area. I didn't take that into account before we took pictures today, but we ended up finding a lit area! These booties are the ones I recreated here. I love the way they turned out! They're pretty edgy, but that's what I like about them. This bag goes along great with the shoes, and is also one of my favs. The fringe and light chains drew me right to the bag (which I got in Canada while on vaca for my birthday!). I can picture myself wearing these pants with a great faux leather jacket as well. Although, next time I buy a pair of Jolt pants I will remember that they stretch a whole size and then some. So anyone out there who is thinking of buying a pair, keep that in mind!

NOT YOUR BOYFRIENDS JEANS

{Sweater: Forever21, Jeans: Gap 1969, Pumps: Jessica Simpson}

The first picture was taken as the wind blew all of the leaves off the trees, one of which hit me in the face moments after the picture was taken! I love this outfit because you can wear with the heels as shown or dress it down with flats. Boyfriend jeans are great that way, they're so easy to dress up or down at a moments notice! They're also quite possibly the comfiest pair of denim I own, definitely a piece worth adding to your wardrobe. This sweater from Forever21 is amazing, I love the light sequins on the front and the grey knit on the sleeves. It's so light and sweet, perfect for the spring/summer or fairly warm days year round! What's your favorite way to wear boyfriend jeans?
