LEATHER SLEEVES

{Trench Coat: Tobi, Shoes: Zara, Shirt: Forever21, Jeans: Hudson, Clutch: H&M}

Normally I wouldn't pick a trench coat for a staple in my wardrobe, but I knew I had to include this one as soon as I saw it. I'm a sucker for leather, and love the sleeves on this coat. I wore this outfit out to coffee on sunday with friends to discuss upcoming travel plans, I'm so excited! :) The week is halfway over, only a few more days until the weekend, happy wednesday!

LEMON POPPYSEED PANCAKES

{Happy national pancake day! For dinner we had an assortment of pancakes (obviously) top: lemon poppyseed, right: Chocolate chip, Left: funfetti}

I love any excuse to celebrate, even the smallest holidays. Today is national pancake day and just in time, I've been wanting to try out a new recipe, you can find it here. These lemon poppyseed pancakes were delicious and even better topped with a berry syrup. If you're anything like me and love a spin on a classic breakfast meal, you have to try these asap!

MINI BOSTON CREAM PIES

I first tried boston cream pie on a trip to Lake Chelan with another family when I was little. I'm almost positive I ate over have of the pie myself. After I found out it was more of a cake than a pie, I couldn't stop eating it! To this day, I'm still obsessed and couldn't get over this mini version. I found the recipe here, and it's from Kraft, so it couldn't be easier to whip up the next time you have guests. Or better yet, make them and save them for yourself! :)

MELLOW YELLOW

{Jacket: Unknown, Sweater & Ring: H&M, Necklace: Juicy Couture, Jeans: Dylan George, Watch: Forever21}

Unfortunately, we haven't ditched winter here in Washington… But at least the sun came out!  I've been super overwhelmed lately, and that's why I haven't been posting very much this week. I just didn't have my time managed well enough to have quality posts, and I wouldn't want to give you anything but. This outfit is great for running around town, without being too fussy. I'm a firm believer in dressing how you feel/want to feel. This sunny yellow sweater brightens my mood in an instant, and I love how it brought a little sunshine to this ensemble. I hope you all had a great week & have a wonderful weekend! :)

xoxo

PERFECTLY PLAID

{Vest & Bracelet: Forever21, Pants: Jolt, Shirt: Rubbish, Pumps: Zara}

It's so hard to see other bloggers who live in California and get to wear spring/summer attire in February (so jealous)! Today I think it might have hit 50 degrees… Oh well, I'm sure we'll get some sun soon enough. Until then, I'm sticking to warm flannels and pants. These pumps are the newest addition to my closet and I couldn't love them more. If you haven't already invested in a pair of pointy toed black heels, do it now, you won't regret it!

BAKED APPLES

I'm not a huge fan of pie, except for the occasional apple pie or sometimes pumpkin on Thanksgiving. Although, when I saw a picture of these on Pinterest, I couldn't NOT make them. I got the recipe here, they're so simple, yet irresistible. Often times when I have pie I feel like there is too much crust. These apples have just the right amount of pie crust and are the perfect size for a dessert. I hope you're all enjoying the long weekend, I know I'm certainly glad to have today off of school, it's giving me some much needed time to catch up!

COBALT CRUSH

{Dress: Everly, Shoes: Thrifted, Necklace: Thrifted, Clutch: Forever21}

On a recent trip to downtown Seattle I picked up this dress and necklace at different vintage shops, I love finding hidden treasures like these. When I was growing up my mom and I would spend a whole day just shopping at various thrift stores so I get feelings of nostalgia every time. I completely forgot I had these shoes (don't judge on how disorganized my closet is) and was overwhelmed with excitement when I remembered how much I love them. Happy Friday! :)

MAGENTA MAGIC

{Dress: Tobi, Tights: Betsey Johnson, Shoes: Forever21, Bag: Just Fabulous, Jewelry: Forever21 & Nordstrom}

I realized that the dresses I've purchased lately are all long sleeved, very convenient for the temperamental weather in Washington. Take this day for instance, during these pics it was pouring and then a couple of hours later the sun was shining without a cloud in the sky… so random. I received this bag in the mail from Just Fab and since it reminds me of a Birkin, I had to have it. I don't know if you can tell in these pictures, but the bag is huge! Ha, I really love it but I didn't expect it to be so big, rest assured, the space will be filled (Mostly with useless items, that I might need one day!). Right now I'm obsessed with chevron prints and this dress is the perfect addition to my wardrobe. What prints are you loving right now?

SHRIMP SALAD

If you love shrimp and all things appetizers then you're going to die for these little guys. These low calorie appetizers are great for lunch or any other time. You can also put them on toast (I didn't try but sounds delicious)! The cucumber and shrimp makes them light and crunchy, but not too filling. They're really easy and from my current favorite food blog, skinny taste. You can find the recipe here

Today is one of those holidays that you either love or hate, a lot of people love to hate it. Personally, I love it, and not for all of the cheesy, sappy hallmark stuff. But because it's about celebrating love! Am I right? Well, I love my life, family and friends and that is plenty to celebrate! I hope everyone has a wonderful day/night, whatever your plans may be. Mine will be filled with movies and heart shaped pizza with family. Happy Valentines Day!

TOP KNOT

{Scarf, Booties, Bag: Forever21, Blazer: Zara, Sweater: Gap, Watch: Nordstrom}

I wore this over the weekend as a casual but put-together look. It was off and on raining all day so a big bun seemed like the logical hair choice. Luckily, it stopped raining for a few minutes to snap some photos. Lately I've been really into wearing scarves untied, so simple and easy!

Ps: Can I just say how jealous I am of everyone at NYFW?! How exciting!!
